Those who are part of the upcoming โHomologation Specialsโ book waitlist already got an email from me yesterday, so Iโm sorry if this feels like too soon, but Iโll make it worth your while.
F1! But not the one you think
These are some new items in the Creating Lightly Store that have just launched today.
The F1 championship nowadays is all the rage, but I am more into the WEC (World Endurance Championship) as you might know from previous articles.
That doesnโt mean I canโt create F1 related artwork and apparel, so here are two โ90s F1 insipredโ things that you can get.
I need some Espace collection
The first one is a Renault Espace F1 inspired collection that I am very happy with.
Itโs two t-shirts and a very first in the Creating Lightly Store: a high quality, all-over print zip-up hoodie!
Pretty cool, huh?
I couldnโt decide on the actual t-shirt design, so I provide two options.
One with the small artwork in the front, and the big hand-written lettering phrase in the back, and
One with the big hand-written lettering phrase in the front, and the big artwork in the back
I like both for different reasons, so I guess itโs up to you to decide which you like more to pick it up, or at least reply to this email telling me which is your favourite! I read (and reply to) all your emails.
The first zip-up hoodie in my store is out
The zip-up hoodie, for obvious reasons (the zip-up part!) is only small artwork in the front left part of the chest, and big phrase in the back. Itโs very soft and comfy and I really love it (and people who already got it also do!)
Fastest Naturally Aspirated Cosmic Orange t-shirt
People know that the McLaren F1 is the fastest naturally aspirated production car in existence.
A record that will probably be held by it forever, due to engineering, emissions and regulation limitations.
This amount of amazing of course, inspired me to create this artwork in an iconic bright orange, originally intended as a phone wallpaper that many of you already are enjoying, so why stop there?
Hence the t-shirt was born. Iโd love to read what you think!
Fatherโs day is coming, butโฆ
โฆIโm not going to say much about it.
I am lucky enough to have my father around (although over 10k kilometres away) and in a good relationship with him, but I know thatโs not always the case.
I originally was going to send this with a โgift this to your father!โ kind of text, but I find those kinds of copy a bit tasteless and not nice for A LOT of people who donโt have the opportunity to do so for whatever reason.
My wife lost her father when she was a teen, my mother lost her father when he was abroad and in his early 50s without a chance of a proper goodbye. I have a lot of friends who also donโt have their father around and these kinds of dates are sort of a constant reminder of that, and probably hurt more than help.
So if you want to get something from the store for your father, thatโs going to be a great gift. If you get it for you because you are a father, thatโs also a great choice.
And if you get it for yourself or a friend/loved one, and you donโt have the chance to tell your father that you love him because heโs not around anymore, I want to just send you my warmest regards in this upcoming date thatโs probably quite shitty for you, but just as the others it shall pass. Iโm sure your father knew one way or another, what he meant to you.
Thanks for your support!
Iโm writing and illustrating a book!
Thereโs a separate waitlist you can join within the โLiving Carsโ newsletter if you are not in yet.
There, people have a behind the scenes look at the development and process of creating my upcoming book. The topic is โHomologation Specialsโ.
If this is something that interests you, I invite you to join the waitlist.
You will keep receiving the regular newsletter articles and also the extra ones, specific for the book. I have it set up like this not to overwhelm people with details on the book if they donโt feel like it.
