This is an article from the Living Cars newsletter. If you enjoy original, passionate automotive and motorsports content, 100% human experienced and written, with no AI in any part of the process, please consider subscribing for free using the button below. Thank you!

I’ve been “teasing” that some “Special Living Cars art” is coming, and the reason I have not yet shared anything about it, is because I have to figure logistics out still (it is really not promising what I’ve been reading regarding having to register in different countries, etc. so I’m doing some homework first).

I bought a new (2D!) printer and I am planning on providing new stuff myself. I want to create more “special” things, as in “personalised”. I know beforehand it’s going to be so much more work than “a dropshipping service” where you can order and I just get a notification, but:

  • Doing it myself allows me to ensure only the best quality, to represent my brand in the way I know it has to be.

  • It lets me add some extra things to the orders, like signing artwork (still sorry I couldn’t sign that print for you, David!), adding an extra gift print, or a thank you letter, stickers maybe? Anything that will make you smile extra when you get it.

  • If I do the math right, I should be able to make more money from it without taking more money from your pocket. I would just earn whatever the middleman takes, as well as my current cut (roughly, when you pay 40 for a t-shirt or print, I get between 10 and 15, if I’m lucky)

I will definitely not be able to offer the whole range of things I do now, but at the same time, I offer a lot of things that no one was interested in anyway, so I believe having a reduced set of options that mean much more to both you and me, just makes sense.

This also means that if something out there in my store is of interest to you, get it before I remove it soon, or feel free to reach out and I can wait for you/provide it on the side.

Stay tuned for what’s coming, and let me know beforehand if this is interesting to you, so I consider getting in touch personally to iron out the kinks of the first people interested in getting something special from me.

But the note I wrote to myself to share information about this said:

Juanma to himself, probably

How’s that for a teaser and a hint? Let me know if you’d be interested in being one of the first to get some upcoming (signed, if you’d like) art.

I’m writing and illustrating a book!

There’s a waitlist you can join within the “Living Cars” newsletter if you are not in yet.

People in there have a behind the scenes look at the development and process of creating my upcoming book. The book’s topic is “Homologation Specials”.

If this is something that interests you, I invite you to join the waitlist with the button below.

[Work in progress] Screenshots from the upcoming “Homologation Specials” book I’m illustrating and writing.

You will receive the regular newsletter articles and also the extra ones, specific for the book. I have it set up like this not to overwhelm people with details on the book if they don’t feel like it.

If this sounds like something for you, join by clicking the button below:

If you’re still not convinced you will like it, read more about it here.

And if you feel like gifting yourself or someone else something original and made with love from the Creating Lightly store, you can join other happy customers by getting something for yourself in the button below:

As always, thank you so much for your support.

I hope you have a great rest of your day.

Juanma
